Achmed Peroti
Achmed Peroti (05 August 1949) was born in Paramaribo. At age 16 he moved to the Netherlands and during his adult life he even lived in Germany for 11 years. But Suriname has always been the country he felt most at home. Where he enjoys Suriname’s unique, beautiful nature and hospitality.
Photography is his way to draw people’s attention towards the beauty that is all around us. Besides that, Achmed understands the necessity to capture the historic beauty of Suriname for posterity, with changes and developments moving so fast.
Achmed is equally passionate about travelling the world, reading a good book and listen to music. He is very driven to give the world a positive outlook on Suriname, the diversity in our culture and roots. Hoping his views will inspire people to start seeing things from another – more positive and proud – perspective.
